A BIG CONGRATS AND THANK YOU! We have been hopping with life within our cluster! New life was apparent as we ushered in Easter: we had 7 baptisms at the Easter Vigil, and 4 on Easter morning at St. Moses. 4 made their profession of Faith, 10 were Confirmed and 9 received their First Eucharist.
Welcome and congratulations to Addison Adams, Ashton Bradley, Chidozie Nnaji, Chidi Nnaji, Chisom Nnaji, Chike Nnaji, Olivia Nowicki, Alexis Michelle Conflitti, Ayana Charlotte Hill, James Paul Novosad, Samuel Clarence Schossow, Jr., Ethan Omoataman, Lance Fears, Austyn Harrison, and Evangile Omoatman.
The parishes all looked beautiful and the liturgies were even better. We appreciate all (including our friendly seminarians) who served, decorated, sang and played the wonderful music, planned, set up (including our pastoral staff and maintenance staff), donated or packed candy for the kids, and more…Thank you to ALL who did anything to make the celebrations of the Lord’s Resurrection so inspiring! God bless you and your loved ones.
DUST WILL BE FLYING! I had a meeting today with Fr. Dan Jones, who will be the new pastor at O.L. Rosary in July. He is excited and working out a date with Norbert to have a meet and greet with the parish before he arrives. They will let us know. You may notice too that new things are happening with the rectory. Youth Works will be moving to their new home by May 1; all the refuse will be cleared so we can begin repairs. Asbestos will be abated, plaster fixed and painted, floors refinished, etc., so the Oratory can move in by July 1.
MORE DUST WILL BE FLYING! Similar action will be happening at the St. Moses Rectory soon to prepare for the Friars moving in. We won’t actually start until we get formal approval from the Franciscan leadership, which we hope happens this week. All the grants and resources are being put in order so that we can officially prepare for the arrival of these wonderful men. Again, just a reminder, I will remain as pastor and Fr. Patrick as our associate, but the Friars will live in residence and assist with our evangelization efforts. I will let you know what is next. Keep the prayers coming! Thanks!
God Bless,
Fr. J.J.
