Greetings!

August 29, 2019 by Anna Romano

Fr. J.J. asked me to introduce myself to you. My name is Anna Romano. I am truly blessed to be offered the position of Liturgy Coordinator here. It is truly an honor and a pleasure to serve with the Cathedral Family of Parishioners. As many of you have already come to know, I believe in teamwork and that we can all make a difference. Many of you have met my Italian family. My faith and family are very dear to me. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends, and large family gatherings. I am blessed to have two families: my Italian family and my Cathedral family. I believe with hard work and dedication, together we can accomplish anything. I really need everyone’s help and input in moving forward. I believe in welcoming all who attend the Cathedral with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. I need each and every one of you to work with me in volunteering and getting involved. I believe together we can move mountains and grow our congregation, filling our pews with the faithful, welcoming all. I look forward to building relationships and working together.

The Cathedral of The Most Blessed Sacrament is the Mother Church of The Archdiocese, so we welcome all who have a true desire to get involved in the Liturgy. It is a rewarding experience, offering you a special bond among yourself, Christ, and the Cathedral Community. We are in need of more Lectors, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Sacristans and Ushers. Lectors are needed to proclaim the Word of God at the Mass, so that the faithful may discover God’s word. Altar Servers assist the Presider with the Roman Missal, Sacred Vessels, incense and much more. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the presider by bringing the Body and Blood of Christ to every person approaching the Altar at communion. Sacristans prepare the Sanctuary and the Altar. Ushers welcome, greet and assist the faithful parishioners and visitors as they gather for worship. They collect the offertory and direct the faithful to the communion line.

We welcome all who have a true desire to serve. Please contact Anna Romano, Liturgy Coordinator at (313) 865-6300 ext. 2862 or email:romano.anna@aod.org
