The Rescue Project

September 19 | 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We live our lives according to the stories we believe.

What if there’s a better story than the one you’ve been living?

What if there’s explosive, extraordinary, life-changing news?

You were made for such goodness.

The content of The Rescue Project is the best news ever, presented in a powerful way.  We invite you to open your heart to the story.

The sessions will be on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30, beginning on September 19 and ending November 7, with a Saturday morning retreat on October 29.  The sessions will include a light meal.

Episode titles are:

  1. The Importance of Stories
  2. Why Is There Something Rather Than Nothing?
  3. The Enemy is the Enemy
  4. It Gets Worse (Before It Gets Better)
  5. Why Did Jesus Come?
  6. What Difference Does It Make?
  7. What Does He Want From Me? – ½ day Saturday retreat
  8. Getting Clarity on the Mission

This 8-week ‘project’ is the beginning of our Family’s OCIA (new name for RCIA), and at the same time is open to everyone who wants to attend – most especially folks from our own Family of Parishes.

If you are someone who wants to help with the new plan, I would love to hear from you.  Please pray and discern in your heart what you may be able to commit to and let me know what you’d like to do; we can discuss it!

Here is the registration for The Rescue Project participants:

Registration for anyone wanting to register for the full “school year” of OCIA is below.  This is for folks who are curious about becoming Catholic or who know they want to receive the sacraments of baptism, first communion, and/or confirmation in the Catholic church.  All are welcome to these sessions.  If you register for OCIA, there is no need to fill out the simpler Rescue Project registration.
