Mass of the Lord’s Supper

April 2, 2015 by Staff

Archbishop Vigneron presided at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, beginning the service saying: “The Holy Spirit has gathered us here in the Cathedral so that we might remember the mystery of the Lord’s supper and remember how, on the night he was betrayed, under the appearances of bread and wine, he gave us his very self in anticipation of the sacrifice on Calvary. How he gave us the priesthood, so that this sacrifice could be present in our midst until the end of time. And how he loved us to the end and gave us a sign of that love in the washing of the feet.”

Palm Sunday Mass

March 29, 2015 by Staff

Beautiful start to Holy Week with Palm Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. From Archbishop Vigneron’s homily: “Our carrying the palms is a profession that we do not think Jesus in his death is proved to be an imposter. Because we have faith, we carry the palms and by them profess that we recognize in the self-offering of Jesus the very essence of who he is as our king… With renewed devotion let us, all the days of this week, meditate on the events of the Lord’s Passover. So that, as the liturgy says, by being immersed in the Passover we will come to share in His glory.”
