St. Anne with Mary In 2011, St. Anne, mother of Mary and grandmother of Christ, was named by the Vatican as the patroness of our Archdiocese. Why? Archbishop Vigneron stated, "St. Anne has been integral to the story and history of Detroit, and the first Catholic presence in southeast Michigan." Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Tuesday, August 15. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times are: St. Moses the Black at 7:30 AM and The Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament at 7:00 PM.

Belle Isle Mass & Picnic

August 20 | 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Come one; come all!!  Please join us for the annual Cluster Mass and Picnic at Belle Isle.  We will have games, food, fun, and best of all JESUS!  Mass begins at 1:00 PM in shelter 2 (see map).  Please bring something comfy to sit on and a side dish or dessert to share.  Please also bring a cold case of pop, juice, or water if possible. We will need help setting up (around noon) and cleaning up, too.  :)

Marathon Organ Recital

September 17 | 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Five parish organists perform 25-minute recitals on the Cathedral's 1925 Cassavant and 2005 Austin organs. This afternoon of mini-recitals raises funds for the music programs of the participating organists and the Cathedral Cultural Series.  Free-will offering. Doors open 45 minutes before the concert.
