Sistine Chapel Choir

Detroit Opera House,

The Archdiocesan Choir, under the direction of Joe Balistreri, will be joining other choirs in a performance with the Sistine Chapel Choir of St. Peter’s Basilica.  Mr. Balistreri will be directing the “Festival Choir” which the Archdiocesan chorus will be joining.  The date is September 23, 2017, at 7 p.m. at the Detroit Opera House.  Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 800-745-3000. Music of Notre Dame de Paris

Organ, Vocal, and Brass Music of Notre Dame de Paris! The choir of St. Paul Episcopal Cathedral and the Archdiocesan Choir join to present music of the organists of one of the world's great cathedrals.  Major choral works include Lois Vierne's Solemn Mass and Olivier Latry's Salve Regina. Hear the Cathedral resound with glorious singing!  Ten choirs and ensembles from across the Archdiocese come together to present beautiful sacred music of varied styles and cultures. Together with the choirs, the audience is invited to join in singing hymns and antiphons for the feast of St. Cecilia, the patron of music.  Presented by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians.
